Overview


We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the transport manager and sales manager by providing administrative support and managing various clerical tasks. This position requires proficiency in data entry, excellent phone etiquette, and familiarity with office software including Microsoft, CRM systems and preferably Sage or other accounting software.

Duties



Perform data entry tasks accurately and efficiently to maintain up-to-date records. Manage office correspondence, including emails and phone calls, ensuring professional communication at all times. Organise and maintain filing systems for easy retrieval of documents. Provide clerical support to various departments as needed, ensuring seamless operations across the organisation. Uploading invoices/VAT return. Chasing payment from clients
The role will offer a lot of varied tasks and a can do positive attitude is a must. You must be able to work well under pressure as you will be joining us in peak season.

If you are the kind of person who can jump from one task to another but remain organised this is for you.

We work closely with other operators and suppliers and so you will need to build good relationships both internally and externally.

A day in this role may include using accounting software to upload purchase invoices, booking in routes for contractual clients or private hires, calling clients to ensure their booking details are correct, subcontracting jobs to other operators - you really will learn it all.

Requirements



Proven experience in an administrative is preferred. Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively. Proficiency in data entry with a high level of accuracy. Familiarity with accounting software is an advantage but not essential. Competence in using Microsoft programs. Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills for effective communication with colleagues and clients. Experience in a PSV transport or logistics function would be highly advantageous.

Please note: we are not currently offering VISA sponsorship or part time/remote working. This is a full time, on site role and the office hours are 08:00am until 16:30pm Monday to Friday.
