About the role



The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) Contracts Team is responsible for maintaining contracts with government or commercial bodies acting through the IELTS SELT Consortium (ISC) or as Cambridge University Press and Assessment. As our Operations and Compliance Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the Contract Lead to manage operational and compliance functions for key IELTS contracts, primarily, the SELT contract with UKVI (Home Office).



Key responsibilities include:


Collaborate with cross-partner teams and compliance colleagues to raise awareness of contractual requirements. Monitor and report on IELTS incident management, analyse performance data, and develop reports to improve compliance and service standards. Attend operational calls and internal meetings, maintain and review action logs, gather and share information with ISC and CUPA teams, and oversee operational changes to support contractual compliance and reporting. Manage and track detailed activity logs to ensure accuracy, and ensure monthly and quarterly reports are accurate, highlighting key changes and trends for external stakeholder meetings. Ensure contractual compliance through weekly monitoring and reporting to stakeholders, review audit programs, investigate non-compliant centres, and assist in planning and managing the annual UKVI audit, providing necessary information to support the IELTS partnership. Will support the Contract lead to prepare for (and co-chairing) the monthly cross Partner Functional Teams meeting. Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedure documents, and propose, track, and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance Contracts Team operations and customer service.



About you





You possess a degree-level education or equivalent, demonstrating a strong foundation in your field. Your ability to prioritise and manage projects effectively is evident, and you excel in reviewing data and producing accurate reports. With excellent interpersonal skills, you manage stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally, and have strong influencing skills. Your written and oral communication skills are exceptional, and you are adept at managing multiple demands and conflicting priorities.



You have experience in creating and maintaining operational documentation and leading meetings. Your ability to work accurately and at a fast pace is a key strength. You thrive in a multi-disciplinary team environment, delivering change and managing complex stakeholder relationships. Highly self-motivated, you are driven to achieve the highest quality standards in all your endeavours.
