Operations Assistant

Cambridge, ENG, GB, United Kingdom

Job Description

The Operations Assistants play a central role in ensuring the smooth daily running of the West Hub, a modern, multi-use building designed to support a wide community of users including students, researchers, staff, and visitors. This is a practical, varied, and highly visible role that combines customer service, facilities support, logistics, and building maintenance.

As an Operations Assistant, you will be the first point of contact for West Hub users, helping to create a welcoming, safe, and efficient environment. You will support everything from setting up rooms for events and handling deliveries, to responding to maintenance issues and providing assistance to visitors and contractors. Your attention to detail, initiative, and positive attitude will directly impact the quality of service people experience at the Hub.

You will be part of a small, supportive operations team but will often work independently, taking ownership of tasks and responding to the changing needs of the building and its users throughout the day. The role is hands-on and active, and will suit someone who enjoys practical work, problem-solving, and interacting with a wide range of people.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build their experience in operations, facilities, or building management within a high-profile and dynamic environment.
