Core-Asset Consulting is recruiting on behalf of a specialist investment firm for an Operations Assistant to join their Operations team in Edinburgh. This is a great opportunity for a motivated and proactive individual to gain broad exposure within a professional financial services environment, while playing a key role in supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the business.
Essential Skills/Experience:

  • Basic IT skills, with confidence using common software such as Microsoft Office.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy environment.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and polite approach.
  • A proactive mindset, willingness to learn, and ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  • High levels of discretion and respect for confidentiality.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Core Responsibilities:
  • Support the day-to-day organisation and presentation of the office environment.
  • Act as a professional point of contact for visitors, ensuring a high standard of service.
  • Coordinate meeting rooms, visitor arrangements, and meeting refreshments.
  • Monitor and maintain office supplies and liaise with internal colleagues and external suppliers.
  • Assist senior operations colleagues with oversight of outsourced IT and facilities providers.
  • Provide basic support on IT and office equipment issues by liaising with service providers.
  • Support health and safety processes and compliance activities.
  • Assist with maintaining internal information pages and documentation.
  • Support supplier oversight processes, including information gathering for annual reviews
  • Assist with initial checks on new suppliers prior to engagement.
  • Help prepare simple reports and support monitoring of service levels.
