Job Summary


We are seeking a proactive and versatile

Operations Assistant

with a background in

Chemistry, Materials Science, or Chemical Engineering

to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will combine strong scientific knowledge with exceptional communication skills to support both technical development and commercial operations. This role is crucial in driving our mission forward and requires initiative, adaptability, and a collaborative mindset.

Duties



Set up and manage the supply chain for glue commercialisation, ensuring smooth and efficient operations. Liaise with breweries to collect food waste, negotiating and arranging contracts to secure reliable feedstock. Engage with chemical manufacturers to support scale-up activities for our glue production. Build and maintain partnerships with potential clients, fostering long-term business relationships. Work closely with the scientific team to align operational plans with technical capabilities. Provide support in grant writing, helping to secure funding for research and commercial development. Promote the company and assist with fundraising initiatives, representing the business at events and meetings. Contribute to R&D activities in the laboratory, supporting the development and testing of new processes and products.

You should be:

Degree-qualified in

Chemistry, Materials Science, or Chemical Engineering

Highly organised, adaptable, and comfortable managing diverse responsibilities. Motivated by sustainability and innovation, with a proactive and collaborative mindset.
