Our products can often be found on the shelves of Waitrose and Sainsbury's or you may have eaten from our plates, wooden boards and dishes whilst visiting numerous different restaurants including The Ivy, Megan's, Prezzo and many others.
Since taking over the reins in 2007 Terry and Barry Grainger have introduced new ranges in glass, terracotta, wood, metals and textiles to compliment the already expansive ceramic side of the business.

We work very closely with them developing their ideas through to production, including creation of samples and conceiving unique, ingenious packaging solutions and design, fulfilment and logistics for web ecommerce solutions.

Role Overview



As the Operations Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily operations of the business, working closely with the Operations Manager and Director.
Your focus will be on coordinating production, managing supply chain logistics, monitoring inventory, and maintaining smooth internal processes across departments.

Key Responsibilities



Support the Operations Manager and Director with daily administrative and operational tasks.

Assist in managing production schedules and monitoring workflow to ensure timely order fulfilment.

Liaise with suppliers, manufacturers, and delivery partners to track orders and ensure materials and products arrive on time.

Maintain accurate inventory records and support stock control processes.

Prepare and update operational reports, schedules, and documentation.

Help coordinate quality control processes to ensure products meet company standards.

Communicate clearly with internal departments (e.g. design, sales, production) to facilitate smooth operations.

Assist in organising logistics and dispatch of finished goods to clients.

Support health & safety and compliance documentation as needed.

Handle ad hoc duties and project support as assigned by the Operations Manager or Director.

Previous experience in an operations, logistics, or administrative support role (manufacturing or production environment preferred).

Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.

Ability to multitask and prioritise in a fast-paced environment.

Good communication skills, both written and verbal.

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with stock or ERP systems is a plus.

A proactive, problem-solving attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt.

Knowledge or interest in ceramics, design, or manufacturing is a bonus.
