Job Description

This role sits in the Service Operations team with a particular focus on development and delivery of learning interventions which build administrator expertise and capability in relation to processing casework within the administration system.

Main tasks & responsibilities:



Curriculum Development:

Create training materials for the academy programme that support learning and capability directly related to the use of the administration system and casework processing all in accordance with the relevant scheme rules, defined workflow processes and any relevant service level agreements.

Training and Development:

Conduct comprehensive training sessions for academy programme participants, focusing on the practical application of technical knowledge in pension administration enabling participants to administer the relevant types of casework with minimal supervision.

Master Classes:

Develop and deliver in-depth technical casework processing classes for Pension Administrators and Senior Pension Administrators. All in accordance with the relevant scheme rules, defined workflow processes and any relevant service level agreements.

Coaching and Performance Culture:

Help to ensure a strong coaching and performance culture providing one to one coaching to administrators to help them maximise their developing capabilities and impact at work.

Mentorship:

Provide ongoing mentorship and support to trainees, helping them navigate practical pensions scenarios and challenges.

Performance Monitoring:

Regularly assess the performance of trainees, providing constructive feedback and identifying areas for improvement.

Collaboration:

Work closely with other departments to ensure a holistic training approach that covers all aspects of the role of a pension administrator providing updates on individual progress and giving feedback on successes or ongoing challenges.

Support Process Changes:

Support changes to Work Instructions and processes as required and provide training on these changes to core Member Services teams.

Compliance:

Ensure compliance with Data Protection, Health and Safety, and Quality Management processes and procedures.

Continuous Improvement:

Foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging trainees to seek out new learning opportunities and stay updated with industry trends.

Essential knowledge, skills & experience:



The candidate will have experience in delivery of training within the pensions industry - specifically in relation to processing of casework and adapting delivery to accommodate different learning styles. Demonstrable experience of designing and developing training content for delivery to small groups. In-depth knowledge of all Microsoft Office software - Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook DB Pension Schemes knowledge and operational experience Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong pensions knowledge including HMRC rules & regulations and pensions/employer legislation. Strong numeric, analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to communicate / interact at all levels within the organisation. Well organised with robust commercial awareness. Have a working knowledge of; scheme rules and practices; pensions and related employer legislation/tPR regulatory codes of practice; administration processes; Intellipen and Brightwell workflows
