We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Manager to oversee and coordinate projects from inception to completion at busy hard landscaping firm. Projects will include private customer landscaping jobs as well as property maintenance and other groundworks projects. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction management, with a particular emphasis on project management. This role requires excellent leadership skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results on time and within budget.
Responsibilities
Oversee all phases of hard landscaping and property maintenance projects, ensuring adherence to design specifications and safety regulations.
Coordinate and supervise the work of subcontractors and construction teams.
Develop project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and ensure compliance with safety standards.
Source and maintain property maintenance contracts alongside quoting for private landscaping jobs.
Procurement and contract management for both elements of the business
Manage vehicle maintenance and repairs
Manage recycling operations and waste disposal
Manage training of workforce
Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to provide updates and address any concerns.
Manage procurement of materials and equipment necessary for project completion.
Ensure that all work is completed in accordance with industry standards and regulations.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Construction Manager or similar role within the construction industry.
Strong knowledge of construction processes, groundworks, and safety regulations.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong leadership capabilities with effective communication skills to liaise with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Proficient in project management planning
A valid driver's licence may be required for site visits.
NEBOSH Certificate desirable
NPORS Construction Site Safety Supervisor Desirable
