Stevenson Bros (Avonbridge) Ltd, an A.W. Jenkinson Group Company, are currently recruiting for an experienced Operations Controller to join our team based at Avonbridge, Falkirk.

A long-established family business, we are a specialist bulk haulier operating an exceptionally modern fleet of class one vehicles from various sites throughout Scotland.

Key responsibilities:

Recruitment & retention of LGV class 1 drivers

Pre-employment interviews and driving assessments

Driver induction & practical continuation training requirements

Understanding and dealing with any driver welfare or employment issues;

Co-ordinating driver absence levels (holidays & sickness)

Co-ordinating availability of relief drivers and appropriate cover levels

Keeping abreast of incidents and accidents and liaising with HR.

Travelling between depots, as required.

Requirements:

LGV C+E (class 1) drivers licence (incl digital tachograph and DCPC card)

Sound understanding of EU drivers hours rules / tachograph legislation

Excellent communicator

Flexible 'can do' attitude

Good IT skills (excel / word / outlook)

Professional manner

Previous experience in a similar role within a Transport environment along with a Transport Manager CPC would be a strong advantage.

The company offers an excellent remuneration package, including a salary sacrifice pension scheme, and the option of a company vehicle as the role will involve some travel between depots.

Pay: 45,000.00 per year
