Operations Controller
to join our team and support the smooth running of our transport and logistics operations.
About You:
You're detail-oriented, adaptable, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. With experience in courier, depot, or logistics operations, you know how to keep things moving efficiently while delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Coordination:
Oversee and coordinate daily transport operations, including staff scheduling, route planning, and driver dispatch.
Customer Service:
Handle customer queries and complaints, ensuring a professional and positive experience.
Delivery Monitoring:
Track and confirm collections and deliveries using our in-house platform, ensuring targets are met.
Communication:
Maintain clear communication across shifts to ensure all teams are up to date with resource and transport plans.
Process Improvement:
Assist in identifying ways to improve processes, efficiency, and compliance with safety standards.
Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong working relationships with management, customers, suppliers, and sites.
Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum 2 years' experience in a courier, logistics, or transport role.
Proven experience managing delivery performance and route optimisation.
Strong knowledge of logistics principles, dispatch procedures, and courier systems/software.
Excellent communication skills with a positive, problem-solving approach.
Comfortable working under pressure and managing multiple priorities.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (including Excel) and logistics platforms.
Valid full UK manual driving licence.
