A.W. Jenkinson Transport Ltd. is looking for an experienced Operations Controller to join the team at our Runcorn depot.

Key responsibilities:
Recruitment & retention of LGV class 1 drivers
Pre-employment interviews and driving assessments
Working in conjunction with the Driver Training Team on driver performance improvement;
Understanding and dealing with any driver welfare or employment issues;
Co-ordinating driver absence levels (holidays & sickness)
Co-ordinating availability of relief drivers and appropriate cover levels
Keeping abreast of incidents and accidents and liaising with HR.
Requirements:
LGV C+E (class 1) drivers licence (incl digital tachograph and DCPC card)
Sound understanding of EU drivers hours rules / tachograph legislation
Excellent communicator
Flexible 'can do' attitude
Good IT skills (excel / word / outlook)
Professional manner
Previous experience in a similar role within a Transport environment would be a strong advantage.
