Job Description

MJK Manufacturing Ltd. is a SME steel fabrication company specialising in fencing and barriers for the construction industry. We are looking for an experienced Operations Coordinator to assist in the day-to-day administration and coordination of the company tasks, projects and processes. Job Purpose



The Operations Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Fabrication Manager with coordinating the daily operations of the manufacturing facility, focusing on welding and steel products. In addition to ensuring process efficiency, maintaining quality standards, and contributing to continuous improvement, this role provides essential accountancy support to help manage operational costs and monitor financial performance. Working closely with production, quality control, maintenance, and supply chain teams, the Coordinator helps meet operational targets and customer needs, while also providing sales administration support.

Principle Duties & Accountabilities



The specific accountabilities of this flexible role may alter from time to time in order to meet the needs of the company, but accountabilities will include (or be equivalent in nature to) those listed below:

Key Responsibilities



Support the Fabrication Manager in day-to-day administration tasks.

Management of Sage 50 accounts

Placing Purchase orders and sending to suppliers Receipting goods and filing as per company specifications Processing Purchase Invoices accurately Checking Supplier statements and requesting copy invoices Send Remittances and working with the Financial Controller to manage payments Maintaining stock levels within Sage based on purchases/sales and manufacturing Entering customer sales orders Processing and sending customer invoices Sending monthly Customer statements Performing credit control duties Processing credit card expenses Support the Fabrication Manager and Financial Controller in building and maintaining Bills of Materials for all new and existing products
Organise all transport to and from MJK Depot to customers.

Support the Fabrication Manager in identifying areas for process improvement and assist in implementing process changes.

Support with continuous improvement projects.

Prepare and maintain production reports, records, and documentation.

Analyse production data and generate performance metrics.

Provide regular updates to the Fabrication Manager.

Assist in organising the repair and routine maintenance of production equipment

Communicate and liaise with departmental managers including finance, marketing and sales staff

Attend various meetings and action/communicate instructions

Working closely with fabrication staff to support the needs of the business

Answer inbound customer and supplier calls

The role requires working from the MJK Manufacturing warehouse and adhering to Health and Safety and PPE requirements.

Level of Knowledge & Experience



Essential

Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Experience in Administration and Operations Coordination

Understanding of basic Financial functions

Advantageous

Experience in Sage 50

Experience in a manufacturing environment

Experience in managing Bill of Materials

Relevant qualification

Level 3 Diploma in Business Administration Level 3 Diploma in Operational Delivery Level 2 AAT
