Compass Associates are currently working with an Independent provider of residential learning disability services & supported living to recruit for a commercially focused operations director. Our client operates a variety of care services supporting adults (18-65)in mental health, learning and physical disabilities and further complex conditions.

The Role

Reporting to the MD you will be operationally responsible for all of the learning disabilities, mental health and supported living services within this large care organisation. You will be responsible for driving performance, assessing and understanding quality and ensure all services meet CQC, regulatory and legislative requirements and providing a clear strategic plan to facilitate future growth of the services.

Leading your team you will be required to provide confident effective line management of all residential and supported living teams, promoting an inclusive, care focused, high performance culture is essential in this role.

You will be expected to lead the delivery of service provision with continuous improvement across housing and support to ensure the services meet the future needs of affordable housing.

Experience Required

\xe2\x80\x93 Proven experience as a commercial strategic operator of a large supported living/LD or adult social care portfolio.
\xe2\x80\x93 Comprehensive understanding of clinical governance, legislation and good practice principles.
\xe2\x80\x93 Degree in social care, mental health, nursing or social work qualification or equivalent professional qualification.
\xe2\x80\x93 A proven track record of managing and supporting high performance, quality focused teams in the supported living or social care market.
\xe2\x80\x93 Proven experience in the health, social and housing care market.
\xe2\x80\x93 An understanding of wider government policy, impact to service users and challenges of the community
\xe2\x80\x93 Evidence of delivering change in a large portfolio
\xe2\x80\x93 Extensive experience in operational and/or financial management
\xe2\x80\x93 Proven experience of managing large, diverse teams.

Above all you will need to be a visible hands on leader with experience in a healthcare setting, experience in LD and Supported living is essential. Candidates without a proven track record in healthcare or a social care setting will not be shortlisted.
