are pleased to be searching for

Operations Director

for a growing manufacturing and engineering business based in Cambridge. You will oversee end-to-end operations, manufacturing, process improvement, quality assurance and supply chain interfaces. You will ensure that, cost, quality and delivery targets are met and lead and develop a high-performing team, embed lean methodologies while working alongside the senior leadership team.

As Operations Director you will:

Lead and manage all production operations, including manufacturing, assembly, maintenance and logistics across the facility Implement and optimise operational processes, applying continuous improvement tools (to increase efficiency and reduce waste Work closely with supply-chain, purchasing and engineering functions to align manufacturing operations with business objectives Drive a culture of quality and safety, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and delivering consistent performance Lead, mentor and develop operations teams, fostering engagement, accountability and high performance Own key operational metrics and report progress to senior leadership on productivity, cost, on-time delivery and quality

As Operations Director you will have:

Demonstrated track record in managing manufacturing operations within an industrial or engineered-product environment Strong leadership experience, able to influence at all levels and drive change Excellent commercial awareness and ability to translate strategy into operational execution Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with multiple priorities and stakeholders including senior leadership
