This role focuses on managing digital platforms, haulier relationships, and data-led processes to deliver seamless, scalable logistics--not traditional warehouse management. About you




You are someone who enjoys a fast paced, dynamic work environment, who excels in quick problem solving and likes to get the job done!


You are able to lead Operational Delivery for the Business, including Operations, Customer Service, Transition and Onboarding Activity for the business in line with the overall country strategy, financial objectives, Group guidelines and policies


Establish and implement strategies that deliver in the short to medium term (1-3 years) delivering improved Customer Satisfaction, Service Levels and Onboarding




Operations Director

responsibilities:


To be a part of the DigiHaul Leadership Team, contributing to the overall strategy, direction and success of the business

Define the country's operational strategy in line with country business strategy, financial objectives, Group guidelines and policies

Oversee and control Operational Planning, Customer Service and Transition/Onboarding activity and initiatives delivering improved metrics, both operationally and financially

Set and implement business development plans and budgets

Ownership of Peak Planning Programmes, aligning cross functional teams to deliver desired service and financial outcomes

Liaison with DHL Business Units to agree Transition Plans of in scope activity aligned to the Transport of Tomorrow Programme objectives, and successfully integrate these into the business

To seamlessly onboard New Business wins into the business

Working with Business Stakeholders to agree CI roadmaps for Systems and Process Improvements making things better for Customers and Colleagues

Support customer strategies and change programmes

Engage with senior management of key accounts in support of business development and transformational deals

Build relationships and co-ordination strategies with local businesses to acquire resources, enhance working processes and drive productivity

To lead and develop the Operations teams, ensuring strong succession planning and retention levels

Understand market trends and customer requirements at country level, spearheading development to meet customer needs

Interpret key trends and developments impacting the business and identify change needs to maintain our Market Leading position

Promote systems for monitoring competitor activity and disseminate information and best practices to relevant parties

Analyse complex issues and modify methods and techniques for enhanced efficiency, effectiveness and growth

Influence innovation that directly influences the way the country is operating and making money

Implement modifications within own area influencing the way the country is operating and making money

Lead, direct, coach and develop performance of the country's Operations Teams, enabling them to operate autonomously and at a high level of performance

Influence and challenge key stakeholders effectively, through persuasion and thought leadership representing the Function and Business

Develop strong, trusting cross-functional relationships with senior business leaders

IT Leads, to champion cooperation and partnership to provide integrated solutions to problems and enhancements

Leading the Operations Teams to successfully deliver Service and Operational KPI's

Develop short to mid-term (1-3 years) plans for optimising the organisation, function, or job-family and the talent required to execute those strategies



What do you need to be a

Operations Director

- Education Level - Master's or Bachelor's Degree


- Experience Level - more than 8 years


Operational Experience in a Transport Environment, with strong Tech understanding

Influencing and Leadership Skills
