Operations Director - Lead with Purpose at Carrier Landscapes



Upper Broughton, Leicestershire
Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm
60,000 - 70,000 + Bonus Scheme

We're now seeking an

experienced and inspirational Operations Director

to lead our operational teams, drive performance, and support the next stage of our growth journey.

This is a rare opportunity for a strategic yet hands-on leader with a background in

landscaping or construction

to make a lasting impact on people, projects, and the business as a whole.

What You'll Be Doing



Strategic Leadership & Business Growth



Lead with vision, design and deliver operational strategies that drive growth, efficiency, and quality. Work closely with the Managing Director and Board to align operations with commercial goals. Identify opportunities for expansion and help steer the business into its next successful chapter.

Project & Team Management



Oversee multiple high-value landscaping projects, ensuring they're delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest standard. Inspire, coach, and develop a strong team of Contracts Managers, Site Managers, and operational staff. Build lasting relationships with clients and suppliers, reflecting our values of trust, reliability, and partnership.

Resource & Operational Management



Maximise the efficiency of materials, tools, and logistics across all sites. Champion effective stock and asset management systems to control cost and reduce waste. Ensure teams have the support, resources, and clarity they need to deliver exceptional work every day.

Health, Safety & Compliance



Maintain our excellent safety record in collaboration with our H&S Manager. Embed best practices and ensure full compliance with industry standards. Continually assess and enhance operational resilience and risk management.

What You'll Need to Succeed



Proven success in a

senior operations leadership role

within landscaping, construction, or a related field (minimum 10 years). Strong leadership and people management skills, you're a natural motivator, problem solver, and decision-maker. Solid commercial acumen with the ability to balance cost control, quality, and client satisfaction. Experience managing

multiple sites and large teams

in a fast-moving environment. Knowledge of stock, asset, and project management systems.

Qualifications & Requirements



NVQ Level 3 in Landscaping/Horticulture (preferred) SSSTS and CSCS Managers & Professionals Card Full UK Driving Licence Business/Operations Management Qualification (preferred) Intermediate Microsoft Word & Excel skills CIPD Level 3 (desirable)
