The Rowley Estates is a family-run farming and luxury holiday let business based near Penrith in the Eden Valley in Cumbria. We manage a collection of beautifully restored private homes and farming estates that host guests from around the world. We're dedicated to providing five-star hospitality and unforgettable countryside experiences.
As our business grows, we are looking for a pro-active, enthusiastic and organised Operations and Hospitality Manager to help oversee the smooth day-to-day operations across our family estate and holiday rental properties.
Summary
This role is central to ensuring the seamless delivery of exceptional experiences across both our residential and short-stay holiday properties. Working closely with the estate owners and our housekeeping, maintenance, and administration teams, the successful candidate will play a key role in supporting operations, guest services, seasonal activities, and team coordination.
Responsibilities
Contribute to management of operations of the residential and holiday rental properties to ensure excellent residential tenant and guest experiences.
Develop and monitor operations checklists and procedures.
Coordinate with internal team members to help resolve customer issues.
Monitor property standards, supplies and performance statistics. Suggest and help implement improvements for operational efficiency.
Work closely with owners and internal housekeeping, maintenance and administration teams to deliver consistent, high-quality residential and hospitality property experiences
Oversee seasonal activities within the estate including routine maintenance during quiet periods and raspberry PYO field coordination (July - August).
Support training and onboarding for new and existing staff particularly around company policies, health & safety and operational best practices.
Requirements
Proven experience in hospitality, estate or property management or a related field is preferred.
Strong organisational and administrative skills with attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills for effective team and guest interaction.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a small hands-on team.
Own vehicle and clean drivers licence required (mileage expenses reimbursed).
