Position: Operations Manager (Back of house)
Contract Type: Permanent
Location: Manchester Airport (M90 1QX)
Salary: \xc2\xa340,000 - \xc2\xa345,000 depending on experience PLEASE NOTE: The role is based within an Airport. You will be required to under-go Security Vetting Processes ( including a criminal record check and counter terrorism check ) if you are to be successful for this position. Role Purpose: To be fully accountable for the day to day management, decision making and delivery of the easyJet operation from Manchester Airport.

Key Responsibilities in this role will include:

  • Accountable for the day to day management, decision making and delivery of the easyJet back of house ground handling operation from Manchester Airport
  • The most senior shift representative for DHL during baggage handling and ramp
  • Manage direct reports, conduct performance reviews and work with HRBP on management of employee relations issues across the site
  • Trade Union engagement
  • Effective shift planning
Key skills and experience in this role will include:
  • Aviation experience preferred for this role
  • Previous management experience essential, ideally in a unionised environment
  • Accustomed to working in fast-paced, challenging environment
  • A safety-first ethos
