About the role



We are looking for a driven and motivated manager with experience in business planning and service development to join our team. The successful candidate will ideally have experience working in the health and care sector and will share our organisations values. A desire to overcome any challenges to achieving set goals is important.

As Operations Manager for Combe Grove you will oversee operations, and hold responsibilities for efficiencies in service delivery operations; ensuring strong control systems deliver commercial, timely and continually improving client services.

You will also support the Managing Director on a day-to-day basis and ensure a client focussed culture with a strong emphasis on driving sales and profitability with managed cashflow. With a team of 2 direct reports you will be responsible for the month end process, manage budget and forecasting process and be responsible for payroll.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities



Ensure front of house services are executed with professionalism, are welcoming, courteous, and well informed

All reporting teams and support teams are highly organised, planned and informed to deliver services to the highest standard

Ensure intelligent cost controls are in place and there is a cost effective approach to all operations work

Ensure clear interdepartmental communications to keep all teams fully up to date of daily operations and business developments

Responsible for Operational teams resource management to ensure an effective workforce, and accountable for the operational team's rotas

Work with the Personnel team to identify resource needs and plan to recruit talent when required

Responsible for quality and performance monitoring in direct reporting teams. Overseeing, whilst involving the relevant Team Leaders the review and improve systems and processes for maximum effectiveness and efficacies

Anticipate challenges and problems. Resolve unexpected issues promptly and efficiently

Overseeing all the department costs

Ensure continuous development and preparation of daily, weekly and monthly KPIs for each operating team and directly report back to the Commercial Manager on results and exceptions

Ensure that the team structure is reviewed at least bi-annually, to ensure that it meets the need of the Combe Grove organisation and effect required changes

Leadership



Be a proactive member of the Management Team contributing to team meetings, collaborative projects and supporting colleagues where necessary.

Lead on best standards and practices and actively promote the vision, business purpose, culture and values of The Elmhurst Foundation and Combe Grove

Provide effective Operations team management and support to Operations team members by carrying out team meetings, a comprehensive induction, regular one to one meetings and training reviews

Ensure that all team members are clear on their responsibilities within the team and that all concerns are promptly investigated, documented and resolved

Continually develop, monitor and review effective Standard Operating Procedures for your team.

Qualifications and Experience



Essential

Extensive experience in driving operations

Strong experience in cost efficiencies

Strong leadership skills

Extensive experience of recruiting, managing and developing a team of diverse talents and experience with in all direct reporting teams

Experience of dealing with customer concerns and complaints with the ability to manage expectations and demonstrate the highest level of customer service and professionalism

Experience of managing a team including recruitment, induction, training and development and team performance reviews

Practical IT skills
