We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Operations Manager and strong leader to run our operations teams, to ensure the efficiency of business processes, ensure compliance, and uphold high service standards in alignment with the company's continued rapid growth. It involves leading and developing the operations' team to drive performance, foster a culture of accountability, and support continuous improvement. It contributes to strategic goals by driving initiatives that enhance service delivery and organisational e?ciency, managing coordination with suppliers and logistics partners, and optimising overall operational performance.
Duties will include:
Oversee daily operations across order fulfilment, purchasing, supplier management, warehousing, stock control, and shipping functions, ensuring e?ciency and accuracy.
Manage the configuration, implementation and continuous improvement of Operational systems and projects.
Oversee the allocation, preparation and delivery of prototypes, samples and customer orders.
Oversee the organisation of transportation and customer collections to meet
delivery requirements in a timely and cost-e?ective manner, ensuring all costs are
pre-approved, accurately documented and prepared for onward billing.
Manage inventory of products, materials and consumable stock in
Company owned and 3rd party warehouses in the UK and overseas, to ensure
they are accounted for, readily available and stored appropriately in a cost-e?cient manner.
Manage inventory levels to ensure they are accurately reflected in the ERP/WMS at all times (currently using Odoo).
Oversee the negotiation of shipping rates and manage relationships with logistics
providers.
Monitor and analyse KPIs, trends and implement corrective actions where
necessary.
Oversee customs Import and Export processing, working with appointed customs
agents, ensuring accurate provision, completion and archiving of all required
documentation.
Review and approve supplier and logistics invoices before forwarding them for
payment.
Develop and document new and existing operations business processes and
procedures to ensure the e?cient handling, storage and supply of products and
materials.
Proactively identify and implement opportunities for process improvements to increase e?ciency and productivity.
