About the Role
As Operations Manager, you will lead and inspire high performance across a busy operational environment. Acting as a key point of contact for our customers, you'll thrive under the demands of a frontline service while understanding and responding to customer needs.
You will take full ownership of the site P&L, ensuring budget delivery, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain depot standards and ensure facilities meet company requirements
Ensure client contracts are delivered in full and developed strategically
Oversee all warehouse operations
Lead all service delivery, associated costs, and people management
Take full responsibility for depot stock performance
Manage all operational teams (approx. 60 employees), including Driver Technicians, Service Engineers, Customer Services, Warehouse, and Decontamination
Oversee customer service KPIs and order processing targets
Manage automated invoicing and resolve identified issues
Forecast needs, prepare budgets, monitor expenditure, analyse variances, and initiate corrective action
Drive profitable growth through cost control and effective use of company assets
Champion world-class customer service at all times
Manage employee relations processes, including disciplinary actions up to dismissal
Recruit, train, schedule, coach, and develop staff
Understand financial data and the wider business impact of decisions
Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental and quality standards

Qualifications and Experience Required
Minimum 1 year in a public, healthcare or service-based industry (desirable)
Budget management experience
Proven experience as an operational leader
Full, valid driving licence (essential)
