We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our prestigious venues in Brighton and Chichester.

The Role:
To manage and deliver all aspects of the catering operation at both our fixed and nominated venues while ensuring an excellent client relationship is maintained and developed. Compliance with all Statutory Law with particular regard to Health and Safety; optimising profitability; improving standards and communications across the company.
MANAGEMENT
Plan and deliver operational functions as required.
Responsible for managing the recruitment, interviewing, induction, training and appraisal of staff members in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
Responsible for the direction and supervision, motivation and discipline of all staff.
Identifying and addressing training needs for staff
Ensure that the personal development of individuals is monitored to maximise their benefit to the business.
Agreeing and setting aims and objectives with employees.
Responsible for reviewing and updating the Standard Operating Manual.
Responsible for ensuring correct dress code is adhered to.
To deliver personal and company KPI's.
CUSTOMERS AND CLIENT
Ensuring a high standard of customer service is delivered at all times.
Analysis of customer feedback, responding by letter/email to client requests and complaints.
Attending regular client meetings, food tastings and site visits.
Recommend modifications to systems and practices to improve customer experience.
Day to day liaison with the client to ensure a good relationship is maintained and developed.
COMMUNICATION
To communicate effectively with clients and team, verbally face to face and in writing.
Responsible for holding and recording details of weekly operational staff meetings.
Responsible for communicating weekly activities via the weekly report
Responsible for effectively communicating with staff on all levels.
SALES AND MARKETING
To negotiate prices that are mutually beneficial to customers and gain revenue for The Company.
To be proactive to maximise sales opportunities.
FINANCE REPORTING AND PLANNING
Responsible for security and accuracy of all cash floats and accompanying stock sheets.
Ensure staffing levels are controlled to ensure maximum efficiency and effectiveness at all times.
Control, ordering and security of all beverage stocks.
Ensure all invoices are processed to Accounts on the correct day.
Ensure staff rotas and wage returns are completed accurately and submitted on the correct day.
Ensure company procedures on ordering of goods are followed.
To monitor invoice payments and pursue late payments.
Financial forecasting, calculating G.Ps, setting prices, monitoring and agreeing targets with Operations Director.
Negotiate prices that are mutually beneficial to customers and The Company.
NURTURING OUR TEAM
HEALTH AND SAFETY
Responsible for all hygiene, health and safety relating to the catering operation both at Head Office and at our partner venues.
Ensure all documentation is up to date as required by law.
Ensure all Site Specific Risk Assessments are completed, communicated and reviewed as required by the Company policy.
To carry out regular inspections and implement corrective action if required, communicate any maintenance issues to relevant parties.
To communicate, train and document health and safety policies to staff.
HUMAN RESOURCES
Ensure that staff adhere to current legislation as and when required as well as direction and guidance from the HR Department.
Ensure that company policies are also followed.
Be responsible for ensuring that staff are motivated, appraised and trained
Conduct grievance and disciplinary meetings as and when required. Be instrumental in terms of investigation procedure.
LOCAL AND ETHICAL SOURCING:
Support our commitment to local, sustainable and ethical purchasing (choosing suppliers within 50 miles of venues, choosing certified sustainable ingredients/resources, choosing social enterprise/B Corp suppliers).
NOURISHING OUR COMMUNITIES:
Managing local charity partnerships and volunteering efforts
Supporting our efforts to create jobs & support vulnerable people and those facing employment barriers into work (e.g. working with homeless charities etc).
CUTTING OUR CLIMATE IMPACT:
Supporting venue managers to reduce Seasoned's environmental impact (reducing food waste, utilities efficient)
Support Seasoned executive team and compliance manager with maintaining ISO14001.
GENERAL AND OTHER DUTIES
Undertake any reasonable duties as dictated by company Directors that are within skills and capabilities.
You may be asked to assist at other venues from time to time.
