Operations Manager - Cladding Remediation
Location: Bristol
Salary: 70,000 - 80,000 + 10% bonus
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Operations Manager to lead a new accelerated cladding remediation programme in Bristol. This role will see you taking responsibility for delivering compliant capital and retrofit works to the highest quality standards, within budget, and on schedule.
The programme will initially cover the remediation of2-4high-rise blocks, with the potential to expand to 18 blocks if successful. This is an excellent opportunity to make a significant impact on a major project, with clear potential for long-term progression.
This position is primarily site-based, with flexibility to work remotely on occasion, depending on project status and business needs.
Key Responsibilities
Provide leadership and vision to project teams, ensuring high standards across delivery.
Promote and maintain excellent health, safety, and environmental practices.
Lead project strategies that align with sustainability and compliance objectives.
Manage commercial risk and ensure effective cost control.
Build strong relationships with clients, consultants, supply chain partners, and stakeholders.
Recruit, develop, and retain high-performing staff to deliver outstanding results.
Provide technical expertise and support to both clients and project teams.
Ensure robust quality management throughout the project lifecycle, with zero defects as the target.
Requirements
Extensive project management experience in a similar environment, with strong resource and cost control skills.
Proven track record delivering high-rise building projects.
Essential retrofit experience with cladding and external facade works.
Knowledge of fire remediation projects, curtain walling systems, fire protection systems, groundworks, and concrete repairs.
Experience managing retrofit projects to PAS 2035 or equivalent standards.
Excellent leadership and team management skills, particularly in leading project managers and site teams.
Strong understanding of construction operations, health and safety legislation, and compliance requirements.
Full UK driving licence.
Desirable: SMSTS, scaffold inspection experience, CSCS card, First Aid at Work certification.
