is a specialist UK distributor supplying equipment to the food processing and manufacturing sector. The business is growing and entering its next phase, and we are now recruiting an

Operations Manager

to take full ownership of purchasing, logistics, customer service, stock control, and warehouse operations.

This is a

hands-on leadership role

with genuine progression and a

direct line to the Managing Director

, offering the opportunity to

build and own the operational backbone of the business

as it scales. The successful candidate will have real authority to shape processes, improve systems, and drive operational performance, not simply manage day-to-day activity.

The Role

Manage purchasing and supplier relationships Oversee stock, warehouse processes, and dispatch accuracy Arrange domestic and international transport Provide customers with clear updates and support Improve operational systems and processes Manage and develop the warehouse function and staff Implement and improve inventory and operational systems as the business grows Monday to Friday, 08:30-17:00 (office and warehouse based)

About You

Experience in operations, supply chain, logistics, or purchasing Confident managing people and bringing structure Comfortable in a fast-paced SME environment Strong organiser and communicator Ambitious and keen to grow into a senior operations role Comfortable taking ownership and making decisions without constant oversight
