A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN OPERATIONS MANAGER AT OUR VENUE


What you'll be doing...



Take full ownership of event delivery of our Wedding and Conference/Exclusive Hire events and Hotel guest stays, ensuring all logistics and on-the-day operations run smoothly and align with client expectations. Supports the General Manager in all aspects of the management of the venue Ensure a profitable hotel operation in line with company goals. Manage the team effectively and enforce company policies. Strong Food & Beverage background -- you know the ins and outs of running an F&B operation. Collaborate with HOD's and Sales to support in following up customer lead opportunities and actively grow the business. Work with HOD's to ensure that teams are upskilled and multiskilled in line with business requirements. Ensure FB strategies, Menu implementation, packages and promotions are delivered on time, and that strategies are simplified, understood, and communicated through to all teams, ensuring delivery of Revenue targets. Create and ensure a "Sales Team mentality" across all departments. (Upselling, cross selling). Continuously look for and action Cost saving strategies. Lead, train, and motivate the events team to deliver exceptional food and event service with a "Yes is the answer, what's the question" mindset. Act as the main point of contact for the team during events, ensuring swift resolution of any issues. Continuously evaluate and improve operational processes to maintain the highest service standards. Anticipate challenges, identify solutions, and ensure every detail is meticulously managed for a flawless guest experience.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU



Proven experience in event management within a luxury or boutique hotel setting. Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire a team and maintain composure under pressure. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities to manage multiple events simultaneously. Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills. A passion for delivering outstanding service and a commitment to exceeding guest expectations. Able to drive both commercial and operational success A people-first leader who inspires, develops & mentors high-performing teams Commercially astute with a strong grasp of budgeting, P&L, labour and margin control Innovative & adaptable - capable of driving efficiencies while upholding our brand values Excellent verbal & written communication skills, able to liaise effectively with multiple stakeholders Proactive with a 'can-do' attitude, problem-solving mindset & ability to stay calm under pressure
