: Strategic Execution Manager/Managing Director Location: Riverside Works, Church Ln, Etchingham TN19 7AS
The Role
You'll take full ownership of Rapid Ramp's operational function, overseeing all projects from Letter of Intent (LOI) to aftercare. Your job is to ensure every project runs smoothly, on time, and to the highest quality, while leading and developing the operations team. This means managing people, processes, KPIs, and resources so the business operates predictably, efficiently, and profitably.
You are responsible for the performance of the operations team, maintaining operational standards, and ensuring all projects are delivered on schedule. You will also play a key role in reporting, forecasting, and improving processes across the department.
What You'll Do
Lead & Develop the Operations Team
Manage the day-to-day performance of the operations team, ensuring accountability, engagement, and clear ownership of projects.
Hold regular 1-to-1s, team meetings, and KPI reviews to monitor performance, behaviours, and development needs.
Coach and mentor team members, building capability across project delivery, planning, and customer service.
Recruit, onboard, and develop staff to meet current and future operational requirements.
Manage Projects from LOI to Aftercare
Take responsibility for all projects, from Letter of Intent through design, installation, snagging, and post-installation support.
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to Rapid Ramp's quality standards.
Resolve issues or snags quickly and escalate risks proactively.
Oversee all project scheduling, logistics, and resource allocation.
Maintain accurate project records in HubSpot or other CRM/operations systems.
Control Performance & KPIs
Define, monitor, and report on operational KPIs, including project timelines, profitability, quality, and customer satisfaction.
Ensure projects adhere to operational standards and processes, reducing errors, delays, and cost overruns.
Implement continuous improvement initiatives to streamline operations and increase efficiency.
Forecast resourcing needs, project workloads, and operational risks for senior leadership.
Collaborate Across Teams
Work closely with Sales, Estimating, and Marketing to ensure smooth handovers, accurate forecasting, and project alignment.
Ensure the operations team provides timely and accurate updates for invoicing, reporting, and leadership review.
Build strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to support seamless project delivery.

About You
Must Haves
Proven experience managing operations teams in a project-led business.
Strong understanding of end-to-end project delivery, ideally in construction, manufacturing, or similar sectors.
Experience managing KPIs, operational reporting, and team performance.
Confident people leader with excellent coaching and development skills.
Highly organised, process-driven, and capable of overseeing multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong problem-solving, conflict-resolution, and decision-making skills.
Nice to Have
Experience with HubSpot or similar CRM/project management systems.
Knowledge of health & safety regulations, RAMS, and compliance standards.
Project management qualifications (PRINCE2, Agile, or similar).
Experience improving operational workflows or implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
