We are currently recruiting for a full-time Operations Manager to join our international underfloor heating company.

is a market leader for underfloor heating systems, supplying a unique in-ground underfloor heating (UFH) systems for residential and commercial buildings. We operate in 10 European countries and have been serving the Dutch and German markets for more than 30 years.





The Operation Manager will be responsible for the

smooth day-to-day running of our company branch and installation team operations in both Exeter, Devon and Caldicot, Monmouthshire.





It is essential that the Operations Manager is aware that they will be involved in a key transitional period from the very beginning in order to establish a full knowledge of how the business works. From installation procedures, managerial responsibilities as well as building and maintaining relationships with our key B2B clients.





You will begin in this role by understanding the field-based installations. This will involve installing underfloor heating systems on site for a period of time until you are then in a position to focus on office and field-based functions that are key to being successful in this position. Training and support will be provided by the Operations Director and other colleagues from within the business. An ability to work on the tools as well as in a managerial capacity is essential for the role.





The two key areas this role will focus on are to be responsible for your installation team[s] and overall branch operations. This will include ensuring company standards and processes are being followed and to facilitate collaborative teams. This position will involve working closely with the Operations Director to ensure the branch continues to operate smoothly and in line with healthy growth.





You will be responsible for developing, supervising and coaching a team of up to 5 UFH installers, potentially split across the 2 locations of Exeter and Caldicot, which includes individual training, team training off and on-site as well as making sure understanding is complete to guarantee company standards are being met and personal growth is continuing. Therefor an ability and willingness to travel between these 2 locations is required.





Outside of working with colleagues, other main responsibilities of branch operations will include contacting customers and/or business partners, planning jobs, keeping the warehouses organised, clean and up to date with stock. Some machinery repair and maintenance will also be required with the successful candidate supported via in-house training.

You will work from our office in Exeter, with working patterns mainly set from 7AM till 4PM [Mon - Fri] . When installing UFH systems or conducting site visits, working patterns can vary in hours. Weekend working can be required in case of extreme emergency or when supporting the business with key trade and exhibitor events across the UK. Additional work in the UK (nationwide) and/or Ireland may be required for brief periods at a time with overnight stay away required depending on work schedule.





During your training period, travel to other branches will be required in line with the companies introductory training period.




We require 2+ year managerial experience in order to be qualified for this position.

Additionally, we require 3+ years operational experience and team-supervisor experience.



Work experience in the HVAC / Heating industry (or more specifically underfloor heating industry) or within construction-based industry is preferred, but not essential as full training will be provided.



Job Types: Full-time, Permanent



Salary: Starting 32,000.00, with an increase to 35,000.00 on the basis of successful probationary period after 12 months of continuous service.
