Job Description

This role would ideally suit current Factory Supervisors, Foreman, or Managers who have the desire and motivation to progress their careers, learning new skills and wanting to expand their personal development. The company will provide support, coaching & mentoring to help the successful candidate grow into and fulfil this very important role.

Production Oversight



Monitor daily production operations directly. Ensure machinery is operating smoothly and efficiently. Identify and resolve bottlenecks or workflow inefficiencies in real-time.

Team Leadership



Supervise line workers, machine operators, and shift supervisors. Provide on-the-spot coaching and mentoring. Step in to assist with tasks during staff shortages or emergencies.

Quality Control



Conduct regular floor checks to ensure quality standards are upheld. Implement corrective actions when defects or inconsistencies arise. Work with QA teams closely to reinforce standards.

Maintenance Coordination



Understand machinery and be involved in basic troubleshooting. Collaborate with maintenance teams to minimize downtime. Prioritize preventive maintenance routines.

Health & Safety



Enforce safety regulations with a visible presence on the floor. Identify hazards firsthand and take immediate action to mitigate risks. Lead by example with PPE usage and safety procedures.

Process Improvement



Continuously seek operational efficiencies (lean manufacturing, 5S, Six Sigma). Implement new workflows or layout changes after hands-on evaluation. Engage workers for feedback and practical improvement ideas.

Typical Daily Activities



Morning production meeting, then walking the floor. Addressing any machine or personnel issues. Checking work orders and production targets. Coordinating with logistics on material flows. Overseeing shift changes and workforce allocation. Tracking KPIs (output, downtime, scrap rate) and acting accordingly.

Key Skills Needed



Strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Technical aptitude with machinery or production systems. Problem-solving under pressure. High situational awareness. Time management and multitasking. Basic data analysis (e.g., reading reports, production metrics).

Salary dependant on experience and is negotiable.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 35,000.00-45,000.00 per year
