Role Summary
Limelite Lighting Ltd is seeking an exceptionally organised and motivated Operations Manager to oversee our Power and Generator Site at Iden Green in Goudhurst, Kent. This is a practical, hands-on management role requiring both leadership and active participation in day-to-day operations.
You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the warehouse, logistics, and power distribution functions, while supporting your team in all aspects of operational delivery.
The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently with a positive, can-do attitude. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment, leading by example and managing people, equipment, and processes to deliver outstanding service across all Limelite Lighting projects and productions.
Key Responsibilities
Play an active role as part of the Management Team, contributing ideas and feedback across all areas of the business.
Uphold company standards and maintain the highest levels of professionalism, confidentiality, and discretion at all times.
Lead, manage, and support all warehouse and operations staff at the Power and Generator Unit.
Plan workloads, staff schedules, and resource allocation, including arranging temporary staff as required.
Work hands-on alongside your team to oversee equipment preparation, ensuring all power and lighting equipment is cleaned, prepped, scanned, and ready for dispatch or collection on schedule.
Manage the return, unloading, and checking of equipment, ensuring all items are accurately scanned both on and off jobs.
Oversee the ongoing maintenance and servicing of rental assets, coordinating with external repair vendors when necessary.
Hold regular Operations Team Meetings to review weekly workloads, discuss challenges, and plan upcoming projects.
Supervise and participate in truck packs, including the efficient loading and unloading of vehicles.
Maintain a safe, tidy, and efficient warehouse and yard environment in accordance with company health and safety policies.
Complete end-of-job procedures, including the creation of missing and damage reports, and communicate findings promptly to the Rental Team.
Provide input and recommendations to the General Manager on warehouse layout, storage systems, and operational workflow improvements.

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Familiarity with web-based accounting and inventory management systems is advantageous (training can be provided).
