We provide end-to-end services including assessment, design, installation, and compliance under PAS 2035.

We are committed to high standards of workmanship, regulatory compliance, and a customer-first approach.

Role Overview:

The Operations Manager is responsible for coordinating day-to-day activity across field and office-based teams to ensure work is delivered to a high standard, on time, and in line with funding and compliance requirements. The role supports the delivery of multiple retrofit projects, overseeing installations, surveys, site activity, and operational support. The postholder will work closely with Project Managers, Business Support, Submissions, and Procurement to manage resourcing, resolve issues quickly, and keep delivery on track.

Key Responsibilities:

Team and Delivery Management:

Lead and support operational delivery teams across installations, surveying, and support functions. Plan and allocate resources in line with project needs and staff availability. Oversee subcontractors and third-party teams, ensuring they deliver to required standards. Maintain clear communication between site, office, and senior management.

Quality, Compliance & Safety:

Ensure all works meet PAS2035/2030 and relevant funding compliance requirements. Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and quality. Ensure documentation and photographic evidence are collected before handover to Submissions. Lead toolbox talks, spot checks, and safety briefings to promote safe working practices. Investigate any operational incidents and ensure lessons learned are implemented.

Process Improvement & Efficiency:

Review and improve workflows across departments to reduce delays and improve quality. Work with senior management to roll out new systems or tools that support efficiency. Document and maintain clear processes and procedures for operational teams.

Performance Monitoring:

Track KPIs across installation and survey functions and act on underperformance. Produce regular reports on progress, performance, and resourcing for senior management. Maintain risk and issue logs for operational delivery and escalate concerns as needed.

Procurement and Budget Support:

Work closely with Procurement to plan and manage materials, equipment, and subcontractor use. Support forecasting and resourcing to keep delivery within agreed budgets. Provide feedback to improve cost control and supplier performance.

Customer and Stakeholder Engagement:

Support Project Managers and field teams in resolving customer issues promptly. Lead investigations into complaints or delivery failures and implement corrective actions. Attend client and funder meetings where operational input is needed. Help manage expectations around timelines, quality, and delivery constraints.

Technology & Reporting:

Support the roll-out and use of operational systems (e.g. job tracking, field apps, reporting tools). Monitor data quality across systems and address gaps in reporting or usage. Lead internal updates and ensure teams understand how to use relevant systems properly.

Essential Skills & Experience:

Strong operational background, ideally in retrofit, construction, or a related field. Experience leading teams in a fast-paced, multi-site delivery environment. Working knowledge of PAS standards and retrofit delivery requirements. Able to plan, communicate, and manage issues effectively under pressure.
