Overview



We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven

Operations Manager

to take ownership of all operational aspects of our energy brokerage. This is a pivotal leadership role focused on driving performance, building capability, and improving efficiencies across the business.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced operations professional with strong leadership, HR, and process management skills. Energy industry experience is not required -- we're looking for someone who can bring operational discipline, structure, and innovation to a growing business.

Key ResponsibilitiesOperational Leadership



Oversee, optimise, and standardise all operational processes across the business to ensure efficiency, scalability, and consistency. Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) across departments. Identify and execute initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve overall business performance.

Performance & KPI Management



Establish, monitor, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for sales, renewals, customer service, and operational teams. Analyse performance data to identify trends and improvement opportunities. Drive accountability and continuous improvement across all functions.

HR & People Management



Lead recruitment and onboarding efforts to attract and retain high-performing talent. Develop a comprehensive

training module

and onboarding programme for all new starters across various roles (sales, operations, admin, etc.). Manage employee relations, performance reviews, and HR compliance. Foster a positive, performance-driven culture aligned with company goals.

Sales Channel Development



Work with leadership to build and scale a high-performing sales channel. Implement processes, tools, and reporting systems to support sales growth and efficiency. Develop incentive schemes and frameworks to drive motivation and accountability within the sales team.

Renewals & Retention



Oversee and improve the renewals process to increase customer retention rates. Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to ensure proactive renewal management and excellent client communication. Develop reporting and insights around renewal performance and trends.

Supplier & Partner Management



Strengthen and manage relationships with key energy suppliers and industry partners. Negotiate competitive terms, ensure compliance, and maintain effective communication channels. Identify opportunities to enhance supplier collaboration and performance.

Implementation of New Services



Lead the planning and rollout of

new services

or products within the brokerage. Ensure new offerings are operationally supported, properly integrated, and communicated across teams. Work cross-functionally to align service development with business strategy and client needs.

Strategic Projects



Partner with the leadership team to execute strategic business initiatives. Support the integration of new technologies, CRM tools, and automation to streamline workflows. Contribute to overall company strategy and growth planning.

Skills & Qualifications



Proven experience in

operations management

, ideally within a sales-driven or service-based organisation. Strong leadership, people management, and HR experience. Excellent organisational and analytical skills with a focus on process improvement. Demonstrated ability to implement KPIs, manage performance, and drive accountability. Experience in developing and delivering structured training and onboarding programmes. Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills. Commercially astute with the ability to balance operational efficiency and business growth. Proficient in CRM, HR, and reporting systems (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce, Power BI, etc.).

Pay: 35,000.00-57,000.00 per year
