We are currently recruiting for a full-time
Operations Manager
to join our international underfloor heating company.
The Operation Manager will be responsible for the
smooth day-to-day running of our company branch and installation team operations, based in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire.
High Wycombe is an established, but continuous growing key area of our market activates here at JK floorheating. You will be responsible for a small installation team of 4 people, but with a scope to increase the team to up to 7 people throughout 2026 as the demand for our product continues to grow at pace. It is essential that the Operations Manager is aware from the very beginning the must have personal characteristics and business acumen, in order to establish a full knowledge of how the business works from installation procedures, managerial responsibilities, site visitations and key account management.
You will begin in this role by understanding the field-based installations. This will involve installing underfloor heating systems on site for a period of time until you are then in a position to focus on office and field based functions that are key to being successful in this position. Training and support will be provided by the Operations Director and other colleagues from within the business. An ability to demonstrate usage of industrial floor grinding equipment and an ability to work on the tools as well as in a managerial capacity is essential for the role.
The two key areas this role will focus on are to be responsible for your installation team[s] and overall branch operations. This will include ensuring company standards and processes are being followed and to facilitate collaborative teams. This position will involve working closely with the Operations Director to ensure the branch continues to operate smoothly and in line with healthy growth.
You will be responsible for interviewing, supervising and training (new) installers, as well as mentoring and developing our existing team members, which includes individual training, team training off and onsite as well as making sure understanding is complete to ensure company standards are being met and personal growth is continuing.
Outside of working with colleagues, other main responsibilities of branch operations will include contacting customers and/or business partners, planning jobs, keeping the warehouse organized, clean and up to date with stock. Some machinery repair and maintenance will also be required with the successful candidate supported via in-house training.
This is a great opportunity to nurture and develop and existing network of clients, as well as growing your own network to add to an already well established business portfolio. A pro-active attitude will demonstrate how you alone are responsible for branch performance.
You will work from our office in High Wycombe, with working patterns varying from 7AM till 5PM [Mon - Fri] . When installing UFH systems, working patterns can vary in hours, but will be Mon - Fri only. Additional work in the UK (nationwide) and/or Ireland may be required for brief periods at a time with overnight stay away required depending on work schedule. During your training period, travel to Warrington, Cheshire will be required for up to 4 weeks in line with the companies introductory training period.
We require 2+ year managerial experience in order to be qualified for this position.
Additionally, we require 3+ years operational experience and team-supervisor experience.
Work experience in the HVAC / Heating industry (or more specifically underfloor heating industry) or within construction based industry is preferred, but not essential as full training will be provided.
