Due to expansion and project growth, we are now searching for an experienced senior level Operations Manager for our Kitchen and Bathroom refurbishment project throughout Birmingham. This is an exciting opportunity to really utilise your Kitchen & Bathroom/K&B experience, you will lead a driven team to ensure a high volume but safe and efficient delivery. You will be managing a team of Site Managers, CLO's and their reports and a range of trusted K&B contractors. This is a fast-paced contract with high volume delivery (c5000 units) therefore experience of leading and delivering similar project is essential. Our teams and contractors are experienced and deliver exceptional service to our contracts, they require an experienced and effective leader to guide the operations.
The Customer
You will be part of one of Fortem's largest Social Housing contracts, Birmingham City Council. This is an expanding 50m Repairs & Maintenance, Capital Works and Retrofit contract and the largest social housing contract in Europe. We are responsible for over 22,500 properties in the Birmingham area including low, medium and a significant number of high-rise blocks. This is a fast paced, focused and dedicated contract which we have been re-awarded 3 times and we are very proud to be able to support this exceptional client. This critical Operations Management role will have direct responsibility for the safe and effective delivery of this c25m Social Housing project (min 2 years). You will guide and directly manage a team of Assistant Site Managers, Site Managers, Project Managers, Trades teams and Admin support staff through Kitchen and Bathroom refurbishment projects.
What you will need
Essential o Experience of managing large scale construction/refurbishment teams o Experience of working on Kitchen and Bathroom refurbishment projects o NVQ L6 (Construction) or equivalent o Experience of managing multi-million-pound construction projects o Excellent communication and management skills
