Job Details

The Operations Manager is an integral part of any business, in this role you would be working closely with the senior management team to ensure smooth and efficient manufacture of top quality livestock feed.

The successful person will have ample opportunity to \xe2\x80\x9cput their mark\xe2\x80\x9d on the role and the business as a whole, you may come from a similar role or perhaps you are an experienced sales manager with a strong understanding of the feed sector looking for something a bit different.

As Operations Manager, your duties will include:

  • Forecasting and monitoring Compound, Blend and straights.
  • Organisation and/or purchasing of raw materials.
  • Pricing, in collaboration with senior management.
  • Management of the blend calculator following senior management team instructions.
  • Managing the implementation and running of new processes within the business.
  • Day to day management to include: transport, customer service, raw material and finance teams.
  • Coordination of the UFAS and internal audit systems with appropriate support, for the company\'s storage and blend facilities.
  • Dealing with any customer complaint and compliance issues.
  • Working closely with the senior management team, to include regular meetings regarding company and staff performance.
You will need:
  • An enthusiastic, motivational management style.
  • Experience within the feed sector, this may be in a sales or operations based role.
  • To be based in, or willing to relocate to Devon.
  • Management experience.
Remuneration will be dependent on prior experience but will comprise of an attractive salary and a company vehicle.
