The Role



We are seeking a proactive and hands-on Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of our facilities contracts, with a strong focus on managing cleaners, supplier relationships, staffing logistics, and service delivery across multiple sites. This role will play a key part in maintaining service standards, optimising resources, and ensuring contractual obligations are met consistently.

Key Responsibilities



Oversee daily operations of cleaning contracts across multiple client sites. Manage, support, and coordinate cleaning staff, ensuring proper shift coverage and performance standards. Lead on recruitment, onboarding, and training of new staff. Maintain strong relationships with clients, responding promptly to issues and service requests. Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure quality and compliance. Monitor contract performance, manage KPIs and prepare client reports. Manage stock levels of cleaning supplies and liaise with suppliers for timely replenishment. Handle rota planning, attendance tracking, and payroll reporting for operational staff. Ensure all work is carried out in line with health and safety and company policies. Collaborate with finance and HR departments to support invoicing, procurement, and disciplinary processes.

Skills & Experience Required



At least 5 years' experience in operations or facilities management, preferably in the cleaning or FM sector. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities. Highly organised with good time management and problem-solving skills. Confident in using software for rota planning, staff tracking, and reporting. Working knowledge of health & safety and employment regulations. Ability to work flexibly and occasionally travel between sites when required (in and out of London area).

Experience with client contract management in cleaning or soft FM services
