The Master of the Household's Department handles all aspects of hospitality and portering functions across the Royal residences.


As manager of our dedicated Attendants team across London, you'll play an important role in making sure every event has a smooth set-up and every task meets stakeholders' expectation.

Key Responsibilities:



In this varied and dynamic role, you'll manage all operational aspects of the team, liaising across the branch to gain best use of resources to deliver efficiencies. Whether you're setting up for a department meeting or arranging the state rooms for thousands of visitors, you'll liaise with colleagues across the organisation to deliver a seamless operations service. You'll be the person leading and motivating our team to deliver, driving people's performance whilst making sure we're focused on their ongoing development, helping them to reach their full potential. You'll develop a thorough understanding of the complexities of each site, before making recommendations that will improve our overall operations and develop our future strategy. On hand to assist the wider hospitality management team with their delivery, you'll collaborate to achieve the highest standards in all that you do.

About you



Essential Criteria:



An exceptional people manager, you're confident recruiting, developing and managing performance for a cross-location team, all of which will be vital for this role. You'll have experience of managing large teams and complex operations, so you'll know how to guarantee that service standards remain consistently high across multiple venues. As a confident communicator, you'll thrive working in a team and inspiring those around you. You'll be at ease adapting your approach to build relationships with a variety of colleagues, both internally and externally. Well organised, flexible and able to remain cool and calm under pressure, you'll be comfortable managing a range of projects with pressing deadlines alongside busy front-line operations. Good analytical and numeracy skills will be important, as will your competent IT skills, as we have a digital outlook in all we do.
