Operations Manager

to help run and scale our creative studios across

London, New York, and Los Angeles

.

We are the leading headshot studio for actors and creatives, producing industry-trusted photography and video that opens doors. Alongside headshots and portraits, we offer professionally produced video reels, host an in-house podcast, and run free monthly, in-person workshops at our London studios to support creatives at every stage of their journey.

Everything at Yellowbelly is produced in-house -- photography, videography, retouching, video editing, and client experience. We are a full 360 creative studio, built by creatives, for creatives.

As we continue to grow internationally, we're looking for someone highly organised, calm under pressure, and excited to work closely with founders to ensure the business runs smoothly at scale.

This role is ideal for someone with a

creative, production, or studio background

who thrives behind the scenes, enjoys building strong systems, and takes pride in delivering a seamless experience for both clients and team.

The Role

As Operations Manager, you'll oversee day-to-day operations in our London studios, while supporting operational oversight of New York and Los Angeles. You'll act as a central point of coordination across teams, systems, and founders, helping maintain the high standards Yellowbelly is known for.

You'll play a key role in:

Supporting founders with planning, priorities, and operational decision-making Managing internal systems, workflows, and processes Ensuring HR administration, compliance, and documentation are handled with care and precision Maintaining consistency across client experience, internal operations, and team support Identifying inefficiencies and implementing improvements as the company scales internationally
This is a hands-on role in a founder-led, fast-growing creative business -- ideal for someone who enjoys ownership, responsibility, and variety.

What We're Looking For

A creative or production background (photography, film, theatre, entertainment, or creative studios preferred) Experience working closely with founders or senior leadership in a small or scaling company Exceptionally organised, with strong prioritisation and delegation skills Proactive, self-motivated, and able to move work forward independently Process-driven, with confidence managing HR administration, contracts, onboarding, staff records, and sensitive data Strong understanding of data protection, internal governance, and compliance Comfortable using scheduling tools, CRMs, HR platforms, and project management systems Strong people skills -- clear, empathetic, and approachable communicator Calm under pressure and reliable during busy periods Confident balancing operational, administrative, and creative priorities Adaptable and happy switching between different areas of the business Knowledge of the acting industry and creative working culture is a strong advantage Understanding of US markets (New York / Los Angeles) is a plus London-based or easily commutable, with availability to be in the studio at least three days per week
Salary & Benefits

50,000-58,000 per year
