Purpose of the Role
To provide strategic and operational leadership to a group of children's homes within Invested Childcare Ltd, ensuring regulatory compliance, high-quality care, and outstanding outcomes for children. The post-holder will act as the Responsible Individual and will be the direct line manager to Registered Managers across multiple settings.
Key Responsibilities
Provide clear and consistent leadership across a group of children's homes
Hold the Ofsted-registered Responsible Individual role for all assigned homes
Support, supervise, and hold to account each Registered Manager
Ensure all homes are fully compliant with the Children's Homes Regulations 2015 and Ofsted's inspection framework
Lead on safeguarding oversight and serve as a point of escalation for critical incidents
Support the development and implementation of service improvement plans
Ensure that each home maintains high levels of staff retention, engagement, and performance
Lead on preparation for Ofsted inspections and follow-up actions
Analyse performance data (safeguarding, occupancy, staffing, incidents, outcomes) to support continuous improvement
Support the Directors with strategic planning and growth
Build a positive culture focused on trauma-informed, therapeutic, and child-centred practice
Performance Expectations
All homes maintain or improve Ofsted ratings
All Registered Managers receive regular, high-quality supervision and development
Compliance, safeguarding, and incident response processes are robust and timely
Operational issues are escalated appropriately and proactively resolved o Leadership is visible, supportive, and consistent across the service
