Operations Manager -- Insurance-Approved Vehicle Accident Repair Centre

Location: Milton Keynes

We are a large Independent, insurer-approved accident repair centre operating from a modern 30,000 sq ft facility in Milton Keynes. With 25 highly skilled staff and strong relationships across leading UK insurers, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional repair quality, customer satisfaction, and efficient turnaround times.

The Role

As Operations Manager, you will lead all operational, commercial, and people aspects of the business. You'll take full ownership of P&L, drive performance and compliance, and build lasting partnerships with insurers. This is a senior leadership role for an experienced operator who can balance strategic oversight with hands-on delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Lead daily operations, budgets, and workshop performance to deliver on financial and quality KPIs.

Managing the P&L along with Finance manager and Director

Manage insurer relationships, contract SLAs, and audit readiness.

Drive H.R, health, safety, and environmental compliance across all departments.

Coach, develop, and retain technicians, estimators, and support staff.

Head up the current Management team and work closely with current director on a day-to-day basis .

Implement lean process improvements and effective capacity planning.

Deliver continuous improvement in cycle time, first-time-right, and CSI.

You'll Bring

5+ years Senior Management experience in vehicle repair / bodyshop management, with insurer panel exposure.

Proven success leading multi-disciplinary teams and managing full P&L responsibility.

Strong technical and commercial understanding of accident repair processes.

Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

IOSH or similar H&S knowledge (advantageous).
