Overview



The Operations Manager is responsible for the planning, coordination and delivery of high-quality corporate team building events across the UK. This role ensures seamless operational delivery, effective transport and logistics management, and excellent client experience. The post holder will lead the fully mobile event delivery, manage resources and suppliers, and ensure events are delivered safely, on time and to a consistently high standard.

This role requires flexibility to work evenings and weekends and the ability to travel extensively.

Key Responsibilities



Event Delivery & Operations

Plan, coordinate and deliver corporate team building events across the UK Act as the operational lead to a team of event managers both full time and freelance. Ensure all events are delivered in line with client expectations, company standards and agreed schedules Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues in real time during events which may be evenings and/or weekends
Transport & Logistics Management

Plan and manage transport logistics for staff, equipment and materials Coordinate vehicle usage, routes, timings and loading requirements Ensure all equipment is prepared, maintained and transported safely and efficiently Manage suppliers, Venues and third-party logistics partners where required
Team & Resource Management

Schedule and brief Event Managers Ensure staffing levels and skill sets are appropriate for each event Track, monitor and manage logistical and sales software such as HubSpot and Team Track Provide leadership and support to delivery teams Ensuring kit/equipment is maintained and records kept up to date Contribute to staff training, performance management and development
Client & Stakeholder Management

Work closely with corporate clients to understand event requirements Liaise with venues, suppliers and internal teams to ensure seamless delivery Represent the company professionally at all times when working with clients
Health, Safety & Compliance

Ensure all events comply with health and safety legislation and company policies Complete risk assessments and method statements and RAMs as required First aid Qualified Maintain high standards of safety for staff, clients and participants
Continuous Improvement

Review event delivery and operational processes to identify improvements and profitability Contribute ideas to improve efficiency, quality and client satisfaction Collate event reports and feedback to Head of Operations
Essential Experience

Proven experience in corporate team building delivery Strong background in event management Demonstrable experience in operations management, ideally within events or experiential services Experience managing staff, transport and logistics for events and mobile operations
Essential Skills & Abilities

Excellent organisational and planning skills Strong problem-solving ability, particularly in live event environments Ability to manage multiple events and priorities simultaneously Confident leadership and team management skills Strong communication skills with staff, clients and suppliers High attention to detail with a proactive, hands-on approach Willingness to inspire, instil a positive attitude and culture to new and existing staff Ability to pivot and react positively to change and challenges
Essential Requirements

Full UK driving licence and confident driving across the UK Willingness and ability to work evenings and weekends Flexibility to travel and stay away from home when required
Desirable

Experience managing large-scale or multi-day corporate events Knowledge of health and safety regulations within events Experience working with external suppliers and venues nationwide
