The Opportunity
We are seeking a proactive and ambitious Operations Manager with a strong, hands-on background in composite manufacturing to lead our production operations and ensure the highest standards in efficiency, quality, and innovation. You will play a key role in shaping the future of our business and driving sustainable growth in a competitive market.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:

Oversee day-to-day operations within the composite production facility, ensuring efficient workflows and meeting production targets.
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing operations team, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
Implement lean manufacturing routines and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
Ensure products meet rigorous quality standards and industry regulations, collaborating with the QA team to address any issues promptly.
Promote a safe work environment by adhering to regulations and conducting regular safety audits.
Develop and monitor KPIs reflecting key drivers required to achieve business plan targets (e.g., OTIF, OEE, productivity, waste reduction, quality metrics).
Manage production planning, stock control, and procurement to ensure timely delivery and cost-effective solutions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Commercial, engineering, finance) to align production activities with project deadlines and customer expectations.
Champion health, safety, and wellbeing across the team and supply chain.
Key Skills and Competencies:
About You
Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
Significant experience in operations management within composites or advanced materials manufacturing.
Proven track record of delivering operational improvements.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Experience with ERP/MRP systems and production scheduling.
Target-driven, self-motivated, and quality-focused.
Organisational skills and ability to work under own initiative.
