We are seeking an experienced
Operations Manager
to lead the day-to-day running of our Plymouth Mayflower Terminal. This is a key leadership role, responsible for ensuring the terminal operates safely, efficiently and in full compliance with all regulations. Reporting to the Terminal Manager, you will play a vital part in delivering reliable operations, maintaining strong stakeholder relationships and driving continuous improvement across the site.
The ideal candidate will bring proven management experience in a regulated, safety-critical environment such as oil, energy, chemicals or logistics. You will be a confident leader who can motivate and develop a team, make sound decisions under pressure, and balance operational integrity with commercial priorities. Strong communication skills, stakeholder management ability and a proactive approach to problem-solving are essential, while experience with COMAH/DSEAR regulations and safety qualifications such as NEBOSH would be highly advantageous.
This is a full-time, onsite role working Monday to Friday, 8:00-16:30. It's an excellent opportunity for an ambitious operations professional to take ownership of a high-profile terminal, ensuring it continues to operate to the highest standards of safety and performance.###

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Strong operations management experience in a high-risk/regulated environment (oil, energy, chemicals, COMAH/DSEAR exposure essential)
Proven ability to lead, develop and motivate teams
Excellent communication, decision-making and stakeholder management skills
NEBOSH qualification or equivalent safety management knowledge desirable
Commercial awareness with the ability to balance operational integrity and business needs.
