Job Description

Age UK Portsmouth (AUKP) is an independent charity which provides high quality and accessible services for adults and older people living in the City of Portsmouth and across southeast Hampshire. The charity generates funds through specific service provision, contracts, charitable grants, donations, sales of age-relevant products, legacies and via statutory bodies.

This is a high skilled multi tasked job and you will require the skills to match. You will need to perform both operationally and strategically. You will manage all services provided at the Bradbury Centre and in the community to ensure they meet financial, operational and client satisfaction KPIs.

This role is based in the Bradbury Centre in Portsmouth and is

not

able to support Hybrid or home working.

The jobholder reports to the Board of Trustees

Key responsibilities:



Oversees the daily activities of the charity, ensuring services are delivered effectively and efficiently and in line with the charity's quality standard. Achieves KPI targets for productivity, finance and client satisfaction for each of the services provided. Investigates growth of existing services and provides input into new services planning and execution. Manages staff recruitment, induction, training, monitoring performance, managing absence and conducting appraisals/supervisions. Builds and maintains effective professional relationships both with internal and external stakeholders. Ensures compliance with employment law, health and safety regulations, GDPR and other legal requirements and that premises are safe and functional. Manages all aspects of building maintenance and security, working collaboratively with the designated external providers. Produces monthly reports for the Board on the status of operational performance. To undertake any other duties that may reasonably be required.

Person specification:



Bachelor's degree in business or related field; Level 4/5 Leadership & Management qualifications. Demonstrable team leadership and high organisational skills with experience of managing operations in a service environment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong time management skills and ability to prioritise. Two-five years of evidenced work experience in a management or supervisory role. Competence, maturity and knowledge to make good decisions, solve problems, manage time and be creative, resourceful, assertive and flexible. Ability to influence successfully. Fully IT literate using the MS Office package. Knowledge of Health & Social Care operating environment and key current issues and opportunities (preferable).
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 35,000.00-45,000.00 per year
