Summary
The Operations Manager is responsible for the implementation and oversight of systems, processes, and people across the Production Resource, Warehouse, Rigging, and Production departments. This role ensures that teams are supported, workflows are structured, and compliance standards are met to the highest level.
This is a systems-led position, accountable for ISO compliance, accreditations, and external audits, as well as the effective operation of company platforms including Xero, UTrac, Current RMS, Outlook, and a newly developed platform.
The Operations Manager does not perform technical or warehouse tasks. Instead, they provide structure, oversight, and accountability--ensuring teams operate efficiently within a clear, compliant, and well-managed framework.
Key Responsibilities
Provide line management and structured oversight across the Production Resource, Warehouse, and Production departments
Ensure clear communication and coordination between teams, supported by effective systems and processes
Lead and maintain ISO compliance frameworks, accreditation processes, and external audit preparation
Oversee all health & safety documentation and ensure adherence to rigging regulations
Manage crew scheduling, timesheets, and allocations via UTrac/Breathe
Oversee equipment rental planning and commitments via Current RMS
Ensure effective use of Outlook, MS Office, and the new platform for communication, scheduling, and reporting
Support recruitment, onboarding, and performance management across operational teams
Maintain and improve systems and procedures to ensure efficient operations
Prepare reports, performance insights, and internal documentation for the Managing Director
Attend meetings and represent operational systems, workflows, and staff needs
Skills & Abilities
Strong people management and leadership capability
Proven ability to implement and manage systems related to scheduling, logistics, and resources
Knowledge of ISO standards and accreditation processes (ISO 9001, ISO 14001)
Experience preparing for audits and embedding compliance into daily operations
Excellent organisational and multitasking skills
Clear communication and presentation abilities
Ability to manage pressure and meet tight deadlines
Strong IT proficiency, including experience with stock management or scheduling platforms
Self-motivated, proactive, and resilient
Experience of launching new systems and change management.
