, and we're looking for an Operations Manager who can develop with the business and build a reliable, streamlined delivery function.
This role is all about
supporting engineers, improving efficiency, and ensuring customers enjoy a smooth, professional experience from sale to completion.
The MD drives revenue.
You
keep operations running confidently and consistently.
What You'll Do
Engineer & Workflow Support
Ensure every job is fully prepared (materials, information, job packs)
Keep scheduling clear, logical and well-managed
Provide support, guidance and structure to the engineering team
Set expectations, offer coaching, and ensure standards are maintained
Customer Experience & Communication
Be the central point of communication for customers once a job is sold
Keep customers informed, reassured, and updated throughout the process
Communicate clearly and confidently, building trust and professionalism
Deliver a smooth and joined-up experience from sales ? delivery ? completion
Operational Leadership
Oversee job progress, timelines, quality and overall delivery performance
Work closely with the Office Manager + admin team to streamline processes
Improve workflow efficiency and consistency
Help build an operational structure that supports growth from
1.2M to 3M+
Business Impact
Allow the MD to focus on sales by taking full ownership of operations
Support the reputation of the business through reliable delivery
Strengthen standards, communication and internal coordination
Who We're Looking For
Experience managing engineers or field teams
Strong, positive communicator with customers
Good organiser who likes structure, clarity and steady progress
Supportive but confident in setting expectations and following through
Calm, professional and able to manage multiple moving parts
Growth mindset -- someone who wants to step up as the business scales
Simpro experience is a bonus, not essential
