Purpose
The Senior Engineer will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining technical solutions that align with organisational goals. This position combines strategic thinking with hands-on engineering expertise, ensuring high-quality deliverables and fostering collaboration across teams. The role requires leadership in technical decision-making, mentoring junior engineers, and driving innovation within the engineering function. Therefore we require 5+ years experience of working in an MSP environment either is operations or in an engineering capacity.
Day to day responsibilities
System Architecture & Design.
Lead design proposals and ensure scalability, security, and performance in all solutions.
Collaborate with Sales staff to translate business requirements into robust technical designs.
Implementation
Oversee all technical projects
Ensure all projects are delivered on time, on budget and in scope
Drive automation and improvements for faster, reliable deployments.
Technical Leadership
Mentor and guide engineers on technical challenges and career development.
Act as a subject matter expert for complex technical issues.
Champion engineering excellence and continuous improvement initiatives.
Collaboration & Communication
Work closely with all teams ensuring always that the customer requirements and deliverables are met
Communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
Participate in strategic planning and contribute to technical roadmaps.
Quality & Reliability
Conduct performance tuning and troubleshoot critical system issues.
Ensure compliance with regulatory and organisational requirements.
The successful candidate
Our perfect candidate will likely have the following characteristics:
Proven experience in network engineering with a focus on system architecture and design.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft 365.
. Familiarity with RMM and PSA platforms and knowledge of NCentral and Halo would be an advantage.
Expertise in cloud platforms - preferably Azure
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities.
Working in a small team it is critical that you are friendly, optimistic, dependable and calm
The ability to listen is key to ensure a clear understanding of customer issues and requests
A diplomatic, caring, professional nature is a must

Based on the edge of Romsey in Hampshire, our office is located 5 minutes from Romsey and 25 minutes, or less, from Ringwood, Salisbury, Southampton, Winchester. Our office has free parking, great views and woodland walks that are perfect for a lunch time stroll!
