We are in search of a proactive and highly experienced Operations Manager to take full ownership and provide strong leadership of our warehouse operations. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of the warehouse, ensuring that all processes run smoothly and efficiently.



Your expertise will be crucial in driving operational excellence, optimizing workflows, and implementing best practices that enhance productivity and service quality. You will lead a diverse team, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability while also ensuring that safety and compliance standards are met.



As an Operations Manager, you will play a key role in shaping the strategic direction of the warehouse, utilizing data-driven insights to make informed decisions that support our business objectives. Your leadership will not only influence the operational performance but also contribute to the overall success of our home delivery network.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

As part of your normal duties, whilst maintaining excellent health and safety practices, you will:


An open-minded approach and committed to delivering continuous improvement initiatives that will enhance the experience for both DHL and our customers. Analyze and mitigate health and safety risks for associates, ensuring adherence to safety standards. Maintain compliance with all relevant regulatory and legal obligations. Ensure effective communication of policies and practices across the operation. Implement security measures to protect personnel, assets, and customer products. Ensure adherence to work instructions and standard operating procedures. Conduct regular performance reviews and drive continuous improvement programs. Lead operational performance reviews focusing on profitability and efficiency. Ensure achievement of customer KPIs and internal targets. Conduct regular performance reviews and coaching for direct reports. Engage employees in improvement activities and environmental initiatives.

THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO

Strong operational knowledge of logistics and warehousing. Experience in managing large teams with a focus on safety and compliance. Customer-facing with a service-oriented mindset. Familiarity with working within a unionised environment is advantageous. Proven ability to build trust with excellent people skills.
