Kent School Trip is a newly established business specializing in school transportation services in Kent and surrounding areas. We are committed to providing safe, reliable, and compliant transport solutions for educational institutions.

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee all day-to-day operations and ensure full compliance with operator licence requirements and transport regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage all aspects of operator licence compliance and regulatory requirements Maintain comprehensive records for drivers, vehicles, and bookings in accordance with licensing conditions Oversee driver licensing, DBS checks, medical certificates, and ongoing compliance Coordinate vehicle maintenance, MOT, and inspection schedules Develop and implement operational policies and procedures Manage booking systems and client relationships with schools Handle complaints and incident reporting procedures Liaise with Councils and other regulatory bodies Ensure all vehicles meet required safety and insurance standards Prepare documentation for licensing inspections and audits

Essential Requirements:

Proven experience in transport operations management, preferably in private hire or school transport sector Thorough knowledge of operator licence requirements and compliance obligations Experience with driver and vehicle record keeping systems Understanding of transport licensing regulations and local authority requirements Strong organizational and administrative skills Excellent attention to detail and commitment to compliance Ability to work independently and make sound operational decisions Good communication skills for liaising with schools, drivers, and regulatory authorities

Desirable:

Experience with school transport contracts Knowledge of licensing procedures CPC qualification or transport management certification Previous experience preparing for or managing operator licence inspections
