Station Operations Manager

Salary:

36,500 - 42,000 (Band E) + benefits

What you need to know about the role

As the Stations Operations Manager within our Energy Operations department, you will support the Area Manufacturing Managers of both Central Power Station and Turbo blower house in the management, control and coordination of multi-disciplined teams within the manufacturing unit, ensuring that team operational targets, product quality, customer service and safety objectives are met.



Providing leadership and maintaining discipline for your team is vital to your role, as you will need to monitor performance of team leaders and teams of operators. You will need to identify, develop and initiate continuous improvement initiatives across your responsible areas.



Working on days, you will maintain the safe and continuous operations of both stations. Ensuring steam production and supply to site, as well as electrical generation and cold blast air production for the furnaces. Deputising for the Area Manufacturing Managers in their absence, you will be trained and familiar with both stations and will be an integral part of the EOPS management team.

What we need to know about you

You must have excellent communication skills as you will need to lead, manage and motivate multi-disciplined teams within a pressurised operations environment. We want you to demonstrate enthusiasm and drive as you strive to accomplish results to ensure product quality and customer service objectives are met.



You should have experience within relevant process/manufacturing environments. A safety qualification such as IOSH or NEBOSH is desirable, although if not completed will form part of your training package
