About the Role



As an Operations Manager at our Wakefield site, you'll oversee customer contracts from stock receipt through to dispatch of retail, wholesale, and web orders. You'll lead your team to deliver exceptional service, ensure efficiency, and maintain strong customer relationships.

What You'll Do



> Lead, motivate, and develop your team to deliver great results.

> Manage customer contracts, ensuring KPIs and SLAs are met within budget.

> Build strong relationships with customers and act as their main point of contact.

> Monitor and manage labour resources effectively.

> Drive operational improvements, introducing new initiatives where needed.

> Champion health & safety, compliance, and best practice across the site.

> Play a key role in the site management team, collaborating with peers to deliver success.

What We're Looking For



> Proven experience in operations management within a multi-customer environment.

> Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).

> Strong numeracy, IT, and analytical skills.

> Knowledge of health & safety regulations and basic employment law.

> A proactive, solutions-focused approach with the ability to perform under pressure.

> Natural leadership skills--able to inspire, coach, and motivate teams.

> Flexible and adaptable to changing demands and shift patterns.

Nice to have: experience with warehousing systems and a creative approach to problem-solving.
